What to expect

Booking

Once details of the event have been settled upon via email, a brief contract will be emailed to sign. The contract includes, date, address, scope of service, deposit details, and refund policy. To book a date, a 50% deposit is required. The remaining 50% is due by the event date. An invoice will be sent for both payments.

Day Of  The Event

The day of the event, I will be in direct contact with the lead coordinator or other previously specified individual. I bring my own table with a black tablecloth and chair to sit in. I do ask that two chairs are provided for guests to sit in while their portrait is drawn. This is so the aesthetic of the table matches the carefully planned decor of the event. For weddings, I try to set aside time for the special couple to get their portrait done. If we do run out of time the day of, I offer to do the bridal couple's portrait from a photo of their special day and mail it to them at no extra charge.

About The Portraits

Live portraits are drawn of the guests during the event. Guests can come up to my table at their leisure, sit for about 5-7 min, then immediately receive their original artwork, sealed safely in a hard backed clear slip. Portraits are created on 5"x7" heavy weight paper. I use ink markers to add color then use a pen to create the portrait using single, continuous line. Guests absolutely love watching the process of the portraits and it truly adds unique entertainment to the event!

Prices

Pricing for live portraits varies depending on event type and location. Live Portrait prices include a 4 hour period at the event to ensure the most portraits as possible. The average investment spent for a full live portrait session is about $1,900. Price increases with travel outside of the Myrtle Beach, SC area. Price can be adjusted for more intimate events with a $500 minimum. For the most accurate price estimate, please reach out directly via the "contact" button.
